Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born August 19 1965, is an American actress. She also works as a producer and director. Her most famous role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The show ended on the 13th, 2012 following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick got a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an therapist for speech and family, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish.
